HEARD Interview Studio

Context, questions, photos, and a magazine-style article.

HEARD builds artist interviews from the information you choose to share, paces your uploaded photos through the final editorial layout, and turns your answers into a publication-ready feature — without inventing your story.

Audio is optional for many interview types — Artist Introduction, Visual Identity, Project, and Press Kit interviews do not require an uploaded track.

The Basic Process

Context, photos, conversation, and publication — in 7 steps.

01

Choose Your Interview Type and Depth

Select a format (Behind the Song, Artist Introduction, Release Interview, and more), then choose your interview depth: Quick (6–8 questions), Standard (12 questions), Long (18 questions), or Deep-Dive (28 questions). You also choose an interviewer style, from The Journalist to The Conversationalist to Adaptive.

02

Add Artist and Project Context

Complete a pre-interview questionnaire grouped into: Essential details, Story Context, Credits & Connections, Interview Direction, and Privacy. Choose what HEARD may use as background — your artist profile, completed reviews, or previous HEARD interviews. More context produces more specific questions.

03

Upload Up to 8 Interview Photos

Optionally upload up to 8 images that HEARD can use to build the final editorial layout. Photos may appear as the lead image, full-width features, inline story moments, pull-quote backgrounds, or closing visuals. You assign roles (or let HEARD decide), set privacy status per image, and add captions and photo credits. Private photos are never published.

04

Answer Natural AI Interviewer Questions

Answer one question at a time. After each answer, HEARD analyzes what you said — detecting story threads, conflicts, identity claims, and narrative weight — then decides whether to follow up, deepen, challenge, or move on. Questions use a soft-transition formula: brief acknowledgment, connection to your answer, one focused question. You can skip any question, mark answers private, or save and return later.

05

HEARD Edits the Conversation Into a Polished Article

After you complete the interview, HEARD prepares a full editorial package: a structured article, clean Q&A version, editorial introduction, pull quotes, SEO title and meta description, and social copy. Photos are paced editorially through the article — not dumped into a gallery.

06

Review Photo Placement, Quotes, Captions, and Privacy

Before anything is published, you review the full article with image placements. You can move, replace, or remove photos, edit captions, change privacy settings, and restore unused images from a tray. Suggested captions are clearly marked and require your approval.

07

Publish or Keep Private

Nothing goes public without your approval. Publish the full article, share individual pieces, or keep everything private. Eligible interviews create an SEO-ready public page linked to your artist profile.

How Follow-Ups Work

Not a fixed script. An actual conversation.

After each answer, HEARD decides what to do next. It can ask a follow-up, challenge a vague claim, ask for an example, offer an interpretation, or simply move on if your answer was complete. It bases this on what you actually said — not a preset path.

Short or vague answer
HEARD asks for more detail or a real example.
Emotionally loaded answer
HEARD follows up with care, not pressure.
New fact you mentioned
HEARD asks about it — it was listening.
Confident, complete answer
HEARD moves to the next question.
Clear resistance
HEARD respects it and moves on.
Quotable moment
HEARD flags it as a possible pull quote.

HEARD follows a satisfaction threshold — it will not follow up on a topic forever. After one or two follow-ups on the same question, it moves on regardless. And there is always a "Continue now" button if you want to skip the thinking pause.

Interviewer Styles

Eight ways to run the conversation.

The Journalist

Evidence-driven, structured, professionally skeptical.

The Cultural Interviewer

Understands scenes, narratives, and regional context.

The Therapist-Lite

Emotionally observant. Listens deeply. Not therapy.

The Executive

Ownership, strategy, business model, career positioning.

The Fan Who Did Homework

Catalog details, lyrics, prior reviews, deep references.

The Skeptic

Tests claims. Challenges easy answers. Never rude.

The Conversationalist

Relaxed, natural. Lets the conversation breathe.

Adaptive

Shifts automatically based on how you answer. Recommended.

What the time estimate means

Your interview time is your answering time.

If an interview shows 10–15 minutes, that is the estimated time an artist may need to answer the questions. It is not a promise that question generation, editing, or publication preparation will finish within 10–15 minutes.

Question preparation and post-interview publication processing happen separately.

Source Context

Your reviews can become interview context.

If you already have completed HEARD reviews, you can choose to let the interviewer use them as background. That can lead to questions about specific production decisions, lyrical themes, recurring strengths, changes between releases, or observations made across multiple songs.

Generic question

"What inspired your new song?"

Review-informed question

"Your previous HEARD review noted that the hook becomes more open and melodic than the verses. Was that contrast part of the original writing process, or did it develop during recording?"

HEARD should only reference source material the artist has permission to use.

Follow-Up Interviews

The conversation can continue.

Artists who complete multiple HEARD interviews can choose to use previous interviews as context. A follow-up interview may revisit an earlier goal, release, creative decision, or statement without forcing the artist to repeat their entire background.

Follow-Up Example

"In your previous HEARD interview, you said you were trying to become more selective about releases. Has that changed how you approached this project?"

Quote Integrity

Your story stays yours.

HEARD can organize and lightly edit artist answers for clarity, but it must not invent quotes, personal history, achievements, collaborations, hardships, or motivations.
