HEARD Platform
Effective Date: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information HEARD collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and what controls you have over it. By using HEARD, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Account Data: Your email address, display name, and password (stored in hashed form). If you sign in via Google or another provider, we receive your name and email from that provider.
Uploaded Audio: Audio files you upload for analysis. These are stored securely and used solely to generate your requested review or analysis output.
Uploaded Images: Photos you upload as part of interview or artist profile setups. Images marked Private are never displayed publicly.
Artist Links: Streaming URLs, social profile links, and other external references you provide for verification or context.
Interview Answers: Your written responses during a HEARD interview session. Answers marked Private are not published.
Review and Interview Outputs: The AI-generated content produced from your submissions, stored under your account.
Billing Status: Whether you have an active paid plan, credit balance, and transaction history. Full card data is handled by our payment processor (Square) and is not stored on HEARD servers.
Device and Session Logs: We log login events, device types, approximate location (country/city level), and IP addresses for security monitoring and abuse prevention. We do not use precise location tracking.
Admin Audit Logs: All administrative actions taken on your account are logged, including who took the action and when.
We use your data to: deliver the services you requested (reviews, interviews, profiles); communicate with you about your account, plan, and HEARD updates; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and Terms violations; improve the platform and AI models; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded music, images, or interview answers to train AI models for third parties.
Private by default: All drafts, private reviews, private interviews, and any content marked private remain private unless you explicitly publish it. HEARD does not automatically publish anything.
User-published content: Reviews, interviews, and artist profiles you choose to publish are visible to the public and may be indexed by search engines.
Photos: Photos are not published unless you select them for publication and approve their placement. Photos marked "Private" or "Do Not Publish" are never displayed publicly.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. When you delete your account, your personal data is scheduled for deletion. Backups and legal records may retain data for a limited period (typically 30–90 days) before permanent deletion.
Published content that has been indexed by search engines may persist in search caches for a period after deletion. We cannot control third-party caches.
HEARD uses industry-standard security measures including encrypted storage, HTTPS transmission, hashed passwords, and logged admin access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
All admin access to user data is logged. Admin actions are auditable.
We use third-party services for payment processing, email delivery, and hosting. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not authorized to use your data for any purpose other than providing their services to us.
HEARD may contain links to third-party websites or integrations. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, or object to certain uses of your data by contacting HEARD support.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws.
HEARD uses session cookies for authentication and functional purposes. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or a platform notice. Continued use of HEARD after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
